It is the second time that Selena Group has sponsored Wrocław Global Forum, held by the city of Wrocław and the Atlantic Council of the USA. Taking place 9-11 June 2011, the conference focused – among others – on strengthening translatlantic partnership and increasing the role Middle-European countries play in the global economy. The opening address was delivered by the Polish president Bronisław Komorowski.
In the first quarter of 2011, Selena Group achieved revenue from sales of PLN 170 m, which is by 29% more than in the corresponding period of 2010. Selena sustains its declaration to pay dividend of 30% of the consolidated net profit for 2010. The Group expects its sales to increase by 15% by the end of 2011.
Selena Group came in third among the polish companies with the highest income dynamics in 2010, according to the journal Rzeczpospolita’s 500 List. In the general survey, Selena was ranked 44 positions up vs. the last year’s number 304.
On 5-8 April, Selena Group participated in MosBuild international expo in Moscow. New products and building solutions were exhibited by the Group’s Russian company Selena Vostok. The Moscow trade show is the largest and most important event in the construction sector in the region.
Under sale agreement signed on 30 March 2011, Selena Group – a globally-operating manufacturer and distributor of chemical building products – acquired 100% stake in „Industrias Quimicas Löwenberg” SL (Quilosa). The deal done between Selena Co SA – a company-member of Selena Group – and Lowinter Holding XXI SL (previously Quilosa Holding XXI, S.L.) pertains to the acquisition of 49% share in Quilosa.
