The Selena Group – global manufacturer and distributor of construction chemicals – won the Teraz Polska contest. This year, for the first time in the history of the Teraz Polska award, companies competed in the new category “Investments abroad.” Selena received the award – as the only company in the category – for its polyurethane foam manufacturing plant in Nantong, China.
Grupa Selena – global manufacturer and distributor of construction chemicals – made the finals in the competition for the Polish President’s Economic Award. Selena was one of the three best companies in the category „Presence in the global markets.” The Award ceremony was held on 29 May 2012 at the opening of Poznan International Fair.
Selena Group – global manufacturer and distributor of construction chemicals – completed the expansion of its sealant and adhesive production plant Libra, Poland. Investing in new technology and equipment along with increased storage capacity let Libra’s manufacturing capacity grow by 40%. The investment was worth about 2,5 million euros.
Selena Group has been selected as a New European Champion, a title awarded by the European Forum for Entrepreneurship Research (EFER) in collaboration with IESE Business School (Barcelona) and the Warsaw School of Economics (Warsaw). The recognitions have been awarded to entrepreneurs from the Central and Eastern Europe who have built innovative growth companies that successfully expanded into international markets. The award gala took place on 21 July in Warsaw during the European Entrepreneurship Colloquium 2011.
The Supervisory Board of Selena FM SA made decision to introduce two new members to the Management Board: Jaroslaw Michniuk and Slawomir Lis. Simultaneously, the Supervisory Board accepted Elzbieta A. Szymanska’s resignation as the member of Management Board.
